Chemical Equilibrium
Many reactions never finish: they settle into a balance where the forward and backward reactions run at the same speed. Watch two tanks level out, write and use equilibrium constants, predict which way a mixture will move, and solve for the balance point by dragging along a curve. Then push equilibria around with heat and concentration, run an ammonia plant against the clock, and use solubility to identify mystery ions by the precipitates they form.
