The Chemistry of Colour
Colour is what's left of white light after molecules have taken their share. Every swatch in this course is computed from a real spectrum, the way your eye would see it. Choose which light a solution absorbs and see its colour, mix salts to design a firework, lengthen a chain of double bonds until it turns carrot-orange, swap the molecules around a metal ion to change its colour, mix pigments, make molecules glow, and work out why ultraviolet light burns.
